She has led initiatives promoting healthy communities, local green economies and the revitalization of democracy – addressing issues such as campaign finance reform, green jobs, racially-just redistricting, and the cleanup of incinerators, coal plants, and toxics. The first of these has been translated into four languages and is used worldwide. The reports promote green local economies, sustainable agriculture, clean power, and freedom from toxic threats.

She, as with all third party candidates, has been shut-out of the debates by the Commission on Presidential Debates (which is run by the Dem and Repub parties). In fact, in 2012 she was arrested and handcuffed to a chair for 8 hours, to ensure that she would not disrupt the presidential debate that was taking place at Hofstra University, by insisting on addressing issues that really matter.
